Iconic Evening Dress Engraved in Green Leather

A bold fusion of history and contemporary elegance. Channeling the spirit of Napoleonic war uniforms and European noble armor from the 16th century, this iconic evening dress engraved on green leather exudes a timeless warrior aura. The dominant green hue symbolizes military prowess, infusing allure with strength. Remarkably, the back of the dress mimics the curvature of a spine, resembling an exquisite exoskeleton enhanced with intricate rivets.
The engravings on the skirt of the dress reinterpret those found on 16th-century European armor. A common practice was to depict the battles in which the wearer of the armor had participated. The exercise was to imagine how to translate these representations into the present day.
This dress is to be viewed as a modern armor, social, of being and identity, addressing contemporary struggles. The engraved images consist of 8 portraits, either figurative or symbolic, representing a series of struggles around the relationship to the body. While they depict a specific person here, the intention is for them to be redrawn to correspond to each individual owning a copy of this dress.

This piece is crafted from vegetable-tanned leather and assembled with rivets. Each creation is meticulously handmade with great care in our Parisian workshop, and each one is unique due to the distinct characteristics of the leather from which they originate.
